Alister E. McGrath (Belfast, 1953), teolog, publicist, sveučilišni profesor. Jedan je od najplodnijih teologa današnjice, profesor povijesne teologije. Najpoznatija djela su mu: Iustitia Dei: A History of the Christian Doctrine of Justification (1986); Historical Theology: An Introduction (1998); The Christian Theology Reader (2001); A Scientific Theology, 3 sv. (2003), te The Dawkins Delusion (2007). Djelo Christian Theology: An Introduction 2010. godine doživjelo je pet izdanja.
